Doubt that was an easy decision for him, but the extra zeros probably help.

Casey Alexander grew up in Chatanooga, played basketball at Belmont, started his coaching career at Belmont, coached some other places, and then came back to be the head coach at Belmont for seven years.

It was cool to see a successful handoff from Byrd to Alexander that allowed Belmont to elevate to MVC and continue to be one of the better mid-major brands in CBB. Hope the next coach keeps it going.

Belmont alum and one-time Ohio verbal Evan Bradds is a Duke assistant. Bet he gets a look.

31 years young. Grew up in southern Ohio.

The Tennessee State coach (in the big dance) is from the Coach K tree. Age 37.

There are so many better options than what we seem to be stuck with.

31 years old with seven years on NBA staffs and a year at Duke. Would seem he might have "it".
