This is probably a loaded question, but any grad 4's or 5's still in the portal just waiting til the last minute? D2 or D3 guys? A 6'9" Tommy Schmock?

Boals might just sit on this one.

Guessing we don’t use the last scholarship. Davion Bradford of Kstate/Wake would be perfect but he still needs a waiver. Otherwise, I’m not sure he’s still available.

Thought we got confirmation from Boals during caravan that we were sitting on the last scholly after missing out on our targeted bigs?

Given our recent shift in focus to 24 recruits, this seems to back that up.

I've mentioned before, but if we're coming to the last minute, I don't see the harm of taking a non-rotational post player as long as he has only one year left. Nothing wrong with another practice player who you put in emergencies or garbage time only. Think of someone like Matt Annen who in his senior year was behind Leon, Jerome, and a freshman KVK in the rotation. There were times that year when those ahead of him got in foul trouble and we had to use... someone. That was also the year Antonio Chatman, Johnnie Jackson, and Ken Ottrix left the team after the season started plus Justin Orr was using a scholarship sitting out.

If Ezuma was redshirted this past season for skill/depth reasons, I wouldn't put it past doing the same for Sheldon, since we have Hunter and Mitchell in as upperclassmen. A little risky if you're only utilizing 12 scholarships, but our depth is at the guard spots.

The team pics posted from the weight room looks like the men have been getting after it in the off season.

Has the big guy from Baylor - by way of Gallipolis - committed elsewhere yet?

I think we’ve kicked the can on adding a big for this season. Otherwise, I feel like we’d be in on guys like this:

There’s still size and talent in the portal.

As our head coach, we have to trust that Boals and staff have seen something out of Wiz and Ezuma, maybe in particular Ezuma. Or maybe Clayton is ready for the 5.

They've been burned 4-5 times in this process, each time losing a "committed" recruit to a higher paying school.

Which makes you think it is probably more like our number 5 position is sort of OK, we'd normally want to try to upgrade, but the costs for getting a big man in the portal are deemed to high this year and they think they are better off using their limited resources at other positions, for recruits, and in next years portal.
