I would avoid the host resort if you’re looking to save. I booked next door at Bahama Breeze for around $300 a night. If you click directions on Google, it says walking is 21 mins and driving is 4 is you take the actual road. However, I did earth view and it looks like you can cut through some pathways (tennis courts, etc) between the two resorts and get to the convention center where the games are played much quicker by foot. Seven hour ride if the weather is good and you don't hit traffic in Cincinnati or Louisville. Lipscomb had no games scheduled between Dec 20 and Dec 30, just sayin' - and TSU didn't have anything from Dec 19 to Dec 28.
