Local Reggie Bass transfers to Kent. Fits.... it's all about fit. Should fill a spot for a shooting guard. Backcourt with Gio, Sully and Bass. MMMMMM....wow

Bass, Gio and Sully is a good backcourt but to go "MMMMM...wow" I am not quite in agreement. None of these dudes is Malique Jacobs or Sin Carry and I don't see them getting to that. Gio was a nice complimentary player. And Bass is a 20 percent shooter so more power to him. Sully will get schooled by Shereef all day, everyday :)

I tend to agree. It’s solid for losing both Sincere and Jacobs; but, it’s not THAT imposing. No true facilitator in that bunch, either.

Playing devil's advocate, Sullinger averaged nearly 9/ppg off the bench, and will probably take steps forward with another year. He and Santiago can flat shoot it. And maybe Bass gets a little better by playing somewhere better. They aren't replacing Carry, true, but until proven otherwise Kent always seems to somehow produce one of the best teams in the MAC, even when we think they'll be "down". As much as I don't like Senderoff, he's got a pretty good track record.

Don't get me wrong...the Kent trio will be very good. I was just saying it would not be Carry/Jacobs/Sully good. I would put EJ4/Jaylin/Reef up against them all day, everyday.

+1. I’m actually more concerned about defending Payton next season than I am the guard trio. Kent will still be good, no arguments here. I just think the way Carry ran that offense and the chemistry he had with Jacobs isn’t going to be easily replaced by those three.

Can't wait to come back to this post in about mid-January when you've completely turned the corner on Reef, a guy you've never seen play.
