Got to see Jason play some serious minutes in the second half against the Denver Nuggets. While the Nuggets won the game by a big margin, It was good to see Jason steal a possession, pass, and score. Looks like he made the right decision to opt out of his senior year.

I agree that it's good to see JP doing so well, and I'll be very happy if it sticks with the big league team now. However, I'm not sure I agree that this is an indication that he made the right choice to skip his senior year. If he'd stayed at OHIO one more year, he'd probably not have gotten that injury; he could have gone higher in the draft, and he might be better off financially than he is now. But that's hindsight, and at the time he certainly made a reasonable decision. I'm not second guessing him. I'm just saying none of us will ever know if it was the best decision.

OK, we can all agree Preston was a man amongst boys in the MAC. That said, his body type and size will remain an issue in the NBA. This man is an overachiever and deserves the our gratitude and best wishes!

Or perhaps he would have suffered a different injury - or had a nagging injury all year - as you state one ever knows.

Vegas loves this line of thinking. Don't get up from the table..."Keep betting"

Or he could have gone lower or un-drafted. Happens all the time. And thus be in a very different financial space.

Of course this can be said of every decision we make - from what we had for breakfast to where we work and live. All we can do is look at where we are on the path. To Jerry's point, Preston is in a good place.

Master's degree holders earn a median of $3.2 million over their lifetimes. He is already approaching that number and is living his dream (and has his degree). Guessing he would say, "it was a tough decision, but the right one for me. No regrets." And his take is the only one that matters.

Don't worry about OCF's takes, cc-cat.

He was just in a race to getting to a BA-leading 13,000 posts before congress named a speaker. He came close.

Shucks . . . got me all figured out!  Did think I was that transparent. smiley

cc-cat took a lot of s verbiage to prove beyond a shadow of doubt that Preston *may* have made the best choice.  A conclusion I heartily agree with. angel

On further review in the booth, I'll agree that you've advanced the needle to "probably" -- but no more! ;-)
