The next memory I have of him is discussing our dramatic win against Illinois State in the 1983 tourney. I met him a couple of times (coaching clinics etc) and he was always gracious in his praise of us and other MAC teams. I have heard the same generous stories from others. He's done a lot for charitable causes and just helping those whose stories you will never hear. You're right, it would be great to have him recover and announce one of our games!
