Zocalo is long gone too, along with half of the businesses on E. 4th. The whole of downtown has been decimated by the pandemic and I think it'll keep getting worse before it gets any better.

I have been disappointed to see Michael Symon closing a lot of his restaurants.

I've seen crazier things happen.

Very saddened to hear this about my favorite place in Cleveland, the Winking Lizard.

There is another WL 4 or 5 blocks away, by the Westin.

Don't try to order food at that one within 20 minutes of when the kitchen closes or you may not get it. The waitstaff might ignore you if they think you will order food right before the kitchen wants to call it a night. We ended up walking to the little sports bar at the DoubleTree a few blocks away.

This was in June.

I'm glad that Eagle66 and I were able to hit the Lizard twice during the MAC tournament earlier this year in March. Didn't realize it would be the last time.

They claim it's a staffing issue and plan to return. That said, all bets are off downtown. It's grim down there without the critical mass that office workers provide.
