Talk about a guy who was put through the ringer as soon as he stepped on campus. After dealing with injuries, your front court mate Carter transferring, subpar basketball and a coaching change, he stuck it out and in my mind is probably the most important piece on this team. Having a forward who can stretch the floor, shoot, dribble, pass and still have some excellent post moves has been a gift to this team's run.

He went punch or for punch with Sam Hauser Saturday night and I hope he's got more in store for tonight. Cheers to you young man!

Very good points about Bennett. I'll just add that each year his inside moves have gotten better and better. He's now able to take on the best of big men toe-to-toe. His work ethic seems to be extremely high and we've seen continual improvement in his game. I'm a big fan!

Bvp is everything that teams want from as a stretch four. He is a tough match-up for teams. His passing ability and ability to rebound inside with outside shooting is a valuable combination. Kevin Love in his prime is what Bvp does for Ohio.

Love BVP. Tremendous player and person.

Remember a few posters on here criticizing Ohio for recruiting him because "he's not athletic enough"? BVP has clearly proven all the doubters wrong.

He is a textbook definition of “stretch four”

I've seen crazier things happen.

Read this and it brought memories of when our current coach was a player. Boals played with Gary Trent who many felt was the best guy on that team. The truth is boals was actually the key player on the team back then . Without jeffs scrappy play and hustle to make plays Trent doesn't get the opportunity to score nearly as many of the points he did. Bvp is a lot like that.
