Most notably, I think of the retired Kevin Garnett when I see BVP do this. Can anyone guess what I'm thinking of. Beer on me next fall/winter before a game at Peden/Convo to the winner. I have (lightly) criticized BVP three selection in the past. I think he could be more selective, and honestly I think he has been since about January. If a player on the other team shoots the ball after the whistle watch BVP go up around the rim and swat it away. Garnett was known for doing this and I always got a kick out of it. Not sure what the thought process is. Perhaps not wanting an opposing player to see the ball go through the hoop? I think the idea was to tell the other team there will never be free looks. He starts chuckling in the first half and I ask him why. He told me that BVP cracks him up. I ask him why and he tells me because of how he blocks any shots taken by the other team after the whistle. I show him this thread and tell him that great minds think alike.
