Joe was my mentor at WOUB radio. He taught me a lot about sports reporting. I had a weekend football scoreboard show with Randy Greene and Joe was the person who critiqued us and made us improve as the season went along. He also supervised me in putting together a "Great Moments in Sports" series. Somewhere I have a few of those old tapes. I'll always remember his wonderful, colorful, and probably slightly exaggerated stories about the Monmouth College Scots! Rest in Peace, dear friend of yore!
