Interesting article about how Buffalo mishandled dropping the baseball program: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/2020/07/16/... /

It highlights the impact on kids when a sport is cut late in the season. We often think about coaches who might not find jobs elsewhere but too often not enough attention is paid to kids from mid-major programs who have very few options for playing elsewhere.

I can only imagine if that had happened to me back in the day. It is terrible to all involved. The coaches will bounce back, but the players only have a short window of opportunity.
