Is there a store in Athens for mens' formal wear (suits, not tuxedos)? I remember a Baron's Men's Shop many years ago, but don't see anything like that online. If not in Athens, what's the closest place? Lancaster?

Elder Beerman has a very limited selection. We live in the golf ghetto, restaurant ghetto and men's clothing ghetto but we have no traffic.

LOL! Thanks Alan. I figured that was the case, but thought I'd ask. So how far do you have to drive to find a decent spot. Columbus?

Horner & Harrison in Parkersburg is a very nice men's store. It's a 35 minute drive from campus.

We can get to all our micro-breweries very quickly Alan....

When I need a new suit, I drive to Columbus.

Agreed although I find their styles a tad more like the clothes that you'll find in Knoxville as opposed to Columbus.

Does that mean it's a more conservative style, Alan?

Not sure what that means Alan. They carry Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Tommy Bahama, Calvin Klein, Robert Graham and a wide selection of casual shirts and golf clothing. I like the guys that own the store and think they do a nice job of providing a quality inventory.

I don't think they sell Ohio State jerseys if that is what you mean by it being different from Columbus. When I'm in Columbus, I see 50% of everyone dressed in the OSU uniform every day.

It's a more "southern style" or "The Grove style" that you'll see. Different fabrics, patterns and colors and if I my say, younger and more fashionable. Columbus still has quite a few people running around in short sleeve dress shirts and ties that end about four inches too high. Granted, I'll never make the cover of GQ but I personally like the look of the southern styles.

In my eyes there's no such thing as a short-sleeved dress shirt. Either it's short-sleeved, or it's a dress shirt. It ain't both.

My point exactly about the differences in styles that you'll see in a midwestern men's store and ones to our south and east.
