How can we sell the most tickets ever in a season?..... Being a seasoned ticket holder for over 30 years, I have a couple of ways. First and foremost wins. obviously . Ok  we have been .. Alumns!    Reach out to the community !   Tell your friends. ...Somehow reach out to the kids (students) to go to the game rather than watching Ohio st. play Minnesota.,. Lastly give away tickets to local honor roll kids around the county so their parents will buy a ticket also. 15$ for the parent ticket 5$ parking 2$ hot dog. add it up! One week be Fed . Hock.  Next game Alexander. Next game Trimble. got the idea!   They will come again ! promise

Pretty simple, win and we have 6 games.  so this will probably be a record attendance year simply based on the six games.

Indeed it will based on 6 homes games .. you are right . but now that homecoming game is what? 30 bucks ? doesn't hurt. Again tell your friends to come. good man. I guess my point was that the athletic department could easilly be doing more in the community to outreach to locals. in my opinion. like i said five and ten dollars add up.

Good points Ben.  I'm close to Appalachian State tonight and just saw one of their ticket brochures.  Season tickets are $160 for the general public and $130 for faculty and staff, almost 60% more than ours.  How do they do it an consistently sell out at the D I AA level?  I'm not sure but they do it with a schedule that also includes Wofford.

I suppose the main reason Appy State can do that is a winning tradition...consistently being a contender for I-AA national honors.

What kind of town-gown situation exists there in Boone, NC?  If locals have a very positive view toward Appy State, that would help.

Only been there a few times....but the places and people I talked to were very supportive....then again they're the only game in town.

Well think about it Marshall has been selling similar to those of App. St. for the same reason. Winning program (and Randy Moss, Chad Pennington, Byronn Leftwich) Any one seen Woffords schedule? very funny, besides one other game of theirs,@ OHIO ticket price is the LEAST expensive @$15  i believe that Wofford's home games are $20

Al, you are comparing this, I think, with our family pack season tickets.  I've been paying a lot more than 60 percent of that ticket price you quote for my season tickets for years -- even before I moved to the Phillips Section.

You're right OCF, it's more like 80 to 85% more at Appalachian State, a I AA school.

Seems each season Ohio's ticket pricing generates debate.  Prices are too high, too low, too varied...

A couple weeks ago while in Oregon I picked up the Sunday Oregonian.  The paper had conducted a survey by asking schools in the ACC, Big East, Big 10, Pac-10, SEC and Notre Dame to report their prices.

The most expensive conference? The Big Ten.

The least expensive? The Pac-10.

Within the Pac-10 the most expensive tickets are, no surprise, at USC.  Prices there range from $19 for the lowest-price single-game ticket for a low demand game to $85 for the least expensive ticket to a high-demand game.  At Arizona the range is $12-$35.  At Stanford it's $12-$40.

For the entire Pac-10 the average price for a single-game ticket to a high demand game is $61.90.

At Colorado, soon to join the Pac-10, the price for a single-game ticket to a high demand game is $50.  For a Buffaloes low demand game the least expensive ticket is $30.

your right Mike. Thank you for that.  After living in Vall Co. And San .Fran. Money is different.
....  growing up in Southeasten Ohio.  Money is not the same here.  Nothing like Southern Cali. $ I could purchase as many O.St. vsOhio tickets as as want @72$ apiece but a have gone to the last prevoius games in the shoe. Great games! dont get me wrong . but this year I would rather go to the @Marshall game for$25
