Graduation Ceremony

Just wondering if anyone knows why O.U. doesn't do a live video steam of the graduate and undergraduate ceremonies.

Seems to me that with their broadcast journalism curriculum,and the fact that they stream sporting events from the convo, it shouldn't be that hard to do.This would let people who may not be able to get to Athens for graduation to at least see the ceremony.

Took your advise and sent an email to the president's office.

Actually got a response within an hour.

They thought it was a good idea that was worth looking into.

Just got a follow up email from O.U.

Apparently people at the university have been thinking about this as well. O.U. will stream graduation,starting next year.

Very cool. Imagine it might be tough to hear names (it is even hard in person!), but it will be neat to be able to hear the speakers and see the whole event take place.

I believe Ohio Northern University did this same thing a few weeks ago at graduation.

I don't see any indication that the Commencement Ceremonies are going to being streamed like O.U. said they would be .

Anyone out there know if they are being streamed or if O.U. forgot ?

Streaming college commencements has gotten very popular out here.
There ws an article in our local paper,sorry it won't link, about how much it helps families.
It really benefits eledery people who may not be willing or able to travel for a graduation.
This lets them see their grandchildren or even great grandchildren graduate.

I was looking foward to watching the stream for O.U. this year,especially when I found out who the
speaker was.Oh well,maybe next year.
