I think that's a reasonable argument Monroe. AVCA poll is an unscientific poll of coaches from all levels and all parts of the country. Surely many put much study and effort into the their polling but some apparently do not. (I've heard OHIO was not ranked at all by some of the pollsters while others rank OHIO higher.). Probably some pollsters are off base due to laziness, some to ignorance and some to politics, e.g., overrating the major conferences .
