Here’s my take on OHIO and the Buffalo game. First OHIO.
When the season started, BG was picked to win the East. Now, after performances in the OOC season, every team in both divisions now has their eyes set on the OHIO game. It could help make their season. OHIO is a top 25 team. This will require OHIO to come to play each game. They’ve shown they can do that so far against some very strong opponents. The MAC continues to strengthen, especially in the West (although BG is better than their record shows), and those away games will be particularly difficult.
Now Buffalo. Going into their last game, they were 11-0, against mediocre at best opponents. Their last game was at home against The Ohio State University. They had a huge crowd (for them). State manhandled them (13-15-15). Buffalo is not in State’s league. OHIO is.
I do not expect a blow-out like that for three reasons:
1T. The Bulls embarrassed themselves in front of their fans and want to show them what they can do.
2. It’s the MAC opener and everyone is 0-0.
3. And they are playing the team every MAC school will be shooting for.
But if OHIO plays the way they have been playing, they should roll.
GO OHIO
