i dunno about that, but this was one hell of a match.  Cinci was undefeated at home in last 48 matches and had just won the Big East Tournament.  According to the play by play, it came down to a fifth set, in which the bobcats trailed 9-4.   Came back to win 15-13, scoring the last 3 pts.  If they don't go dancin'  this is still a great way to end the year and gives everybody a boost going into the '12 season... Congrats, ladies!

Lambo had 24 kills and 24 digs...Chelsea B had 20 kills.

Great way to finish the regular season!

Way to go CATS!

Great game OHIO. Wish I could have seen it. Would love to hear from those that did.

Will be interesting to see the NCAA draws. The MAC looked like they had 3 certain entries into the tourney until recently when their RPI's plummeted with lots of upsets. The tourney champion Central is ranked lower than 4 MAC schools I believe, including OHIO. There are other factors than RPI that determine tourney selections so I'm hoping the MAC can get at least 3 in. I doubt OHIO will, but they did what they had to do today to give themselves a shot.

OHIO

There's a glimmer thanks to this win.

Great win! The chance for NCAA is super slim which we could only hope that the previous performance might do the magic. Speaking RPI, Ohio is #57, while NIU, Western and BSU are above of us. Cincy is #18 but I doubt if the game result of this week would make it to the calculation for the selection committee but it possible. This will make the highest rank opponent that Ohio won.
Either we are dancing,I hope to see more of the two wings, Chelsea and Lambo next year. The pair will dominate the conference.

Those of you who were not able to be in Cincinnati with us probably missed being involved in one of the BEST matches of the season.  Words cannot describe the enthusiasm from parents, band members (no music), and other supporters present.  Jim Post was his usual self as lead cheerleader.  We probably had 50 -60 people in a rather crowded arena, but our noise totally dominated the spiritless BearCat fans.  No way to compare the two groups!!!  Imagine that Ellen Herman's presence in the crowd also boosted those team members who know her.

If nothing else happens, it was a fantastic way to end the regular season, and hopefully, a prelude to the future.

Thank you so much Granddad for your on-the-spot report. "Watching" a match on GameTracker is a rather bloodless affair---save for the blood pounding in my  veins as I read! I'm sorry to have missed this match, but rejoice in the team's glory.

Can it really be that the NCAA won't take this notable victory into account? Well, we all hold it in our hearts and minds. Hooray for this great team.

The Bobcats have won 8 of 9 (including a win over Central Michigan), played a very tough non-conference schedule (including the fabulous win at Cincy yesterday) and finished in 2nd place in the MAC during the regular season ... Pretty solid resume.  Oh yeah, coming off of an 8th consecutive NCAA tournament appearance -- with wins in each of the past two tournaments.  While RPI is an indicator of strength, it is not the only indicator ... and competitive matches vs. Tennessee, Western Ky and Louisville (Big East regular season champs) should carry some weight also.  Mid-week trips to Georgia Southern ('10 tournament team) and Pitt (W) were part of the schedule as well.  Regardless of the final outcome, the Bobcats showed GREAT heart this week and played with toughness and pride.  As mentioned by another fan, the Bobcat fans were awesome at Cincy and put the Bearcat fans to shame.  Hopefully, we will be dancing tomorrow evening -- Go Bobcats!

Very happy to make the trip to Cincinnati for this one. VB was scheduled tightly prior to the UC men's basketball game. The biggest WTH moment for me was in the last half of game 5. The UC fans were sitting on their hands. The OU contingent was small, though larger than I'd anticipated, but we were controlling the volume. UC's cheerleaders came in the arena and occupied some of the the space on the north end of the court. One would think that they might get in the spirit of the whole thing and get involved.............but nothing. One would think that with the visitors' fans sucking the momentum out of the home team with their noise, the cheerleaders would do something, anything............but nothing. UC's fans and cheerleaders completely let the visiting fans take over their house. While I appreciate their hospitality, I I would be utterly embarrassed if that ever happened in the Convo.

And Miami STIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL sucks!
