But somehow, the coaches liked NIU to win the MAC Tournament. I know that the Huskies had a great start, but they're still unproven and a certain team from Athens is the defending champs. For my money, I'd still say that Ohio is the team to beat.

It would be a mistake for anyone to discount Northern...

Gooden has done a helluva job at NIU, and has that team believing.  They are as formidable as any team in the conference.  And if you've ever talked to him, you know Gooden is a really good guy.

That being said...

Lauren Wicinski is really good. She has very interesting profile which could shine almost like Ellen Herman. I still heart for the Cats which should be good as a team.
