I really really really like this kid. He seems to ooze athletisism. Looked like he had a good shot going, and solid defense. Had the tough job of guarding Steve Coleman but did a pretty good job of containing him. He isn't necessarily tall, or long by any means, but definitely makes up for it in muscle. I think he could start some games this year at the 2.

Johnson putting the work in: http://cincinnati.com/blogs/preps/2010/07/30/practice-practice-practice/

Excerpt:
Johnson, who is home visiting from Athens and enlisted the help of former teammate Pierre Mayfield to rebound, has to be one of the hardest-working high school players I’ve ever been around. He was always on the court. Before school, at lunch, after school.  At the gym, at the park. Didn’t matter. Former Holmes coach David Henley used to talk about the kid’s work ethic and how it paid dividends.

It continues to. Johnson looked like he was in phenomenal shape. He’s taking summer classes at OU and working out every day. I wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes a big-time contributor for the Bobcats.

Attitude is everything. Liked this kid before he came to Athens...like him even more now. Keep hustling and doing the work Ricardo and welcome to OHIO basketball.
