Great interview with Albin in the second half of this new video.

Unfortunately, the hosts promised info. on enhancements to Peden but never got around to it.

Albin tries to keep things positive, and to increase expectations. He's selling the portal changes as an opportunity to improve the team, and this iteration of the Bobcats as the fastest ever. I hope he's right, but I have modest expectations for this year. I'm hoping for 6 wins and a bowl.

The petting zoo project at peden is very "hush hush".

That was an excellent write-up.

Did anyone ever determine what happened to Christian Hilton? Just a student?

Agree about the article.

Nope, haven't heard about Hilton.

Yeah, Albin is a glass half full guy and, a bit off your topic, but he looks much more comfortable now and you can see some of his personality come through.

This isn't where I want to be - but the pressure is off this year. The last two seasons he had probably the best team to ever play at OU. This year I wouldn't be surprised to win 4 games. I wouldn't be surprised if they went on a run. I hope they play fast and loose. Albin is a clock churner, makes me afraid they don't have the firepower to get back into games if they burn clock and don't score. We ran into it multiple times last season where we run 8 minutes off the clock. Other team scores in 60 seconds. We churn clock. They score again. And then we're basically out of it by half-time, bc we can't score 14. And there isn't enough time to actually make a push.

How many times were we "out of it by halftime" during the Albin era?

Part of our methodical approach on offense was due to our QB, who had a great arm but was not a great runner. Perhaps also due to our OC. Both are different this year.

I think we'll win at least 6 and perhaps 8 games this year. It might be ugly at Syracuse (I'll be there nonetheless) but the team will coalesce by early October.

Thanks for posting the Hustle Belt article. It gives me some reason to hope that we might be better than anticipated this fall.

I see it same as Super Beef. Team will be better at the end of the year and we get 7 wins, bowl invite (Bahamas Part Deux?) and get the bowl win to finish 8-5. That's a good year considering the losses and needing to hobble together a whole new team that hasn't played together.

Go Bobcats!

Most coaches only go into the glass in half empty mode when everyone else thinks their team is really, really good.

Any updates from the scrimmage?

I saw the video OhioFB posted but obviously can't get much from a one minute video. I think I saw a Coleman Owen TD, and a Nick Segarra TD.

Maybe less whiffed tackles in space this year? If so, sounds like an improvement.

No, a fan trying to look for the silver lining in a what appears to be a very uncertain season.

What time on the 17th?

9am but he's been closing practices and especially the two scrimmages.
