Coleman Owen getting some PT and in the second half of the Colts preseason game right now. 3 catches for 13 yards and a couple punt returns so far. Seems promising.

I have no idea, I’m just going off the box score. I think it’s promising that they both got time in the 1st preseason game though, seems like the guys who have no shot at the roster don’t.

Anthony Tyus - 6 car, 23 yards
Jacoby Jones - 2 rec, 7 yards, 1 TD
Roman Parodie - 2 tackles, 1 INT, 1 TD

On top of the tackles and pick 6 for Roman I see a pass deflection on his stat line. Love to see it.

I was half asleep but I caught that RP pick 6 and nearly woke up the whole house.

Pretty quiet otherwise up until that point, but way to throw an exclamation point on it. That's the type of play coaches are going to remember when it comes down to cuts.

Tre Tyus had 11 carries for 24 yards last night. Unfortunately 1 fumble but he did also recover it.

Coleman Owen once again lead the Colts in catches and targets today - but also in receiving yards this week and kickoff returns. 4 catches, 46 yards, 3 kickoff returns with a long of 33 yards. Great showing.

Can’t tell if Austen Pleasants or Roman Parodie have played today.

Owen still doing Owen things.

Currently leading the team in Targets, Receptions, and Yards. (They have no passing TD)

He has stepped right into the Josh Downs (hamstring injury) gadget role, so I hope that means they feel like they can/should carry both. I think it at least gets him on the practice squad, but who knows these days. Smaller guys have a tougher hill to climb.

He's looking solid against the Bengals today. 5 catches and a TD, with a 23 yard punt return thus far. Fielded 1 punt on the 2 yard line for a head scratcher, but he's looking like he belongs on the roster otherwise.

No offense to the young man. But everyone has looked solid against that defense in the preseason.

With the performance’s he’s had, you’ve gotta think Coleman has a good shot at the roster or he’ll be the first receiver called up from the practice squad for an injury.

Looks like Roman Parodie is playing for the Bucs again today after missing for an injury last week.

Finished preseason 3rd in the NFL in receptions (1st on the team w/ 13), 11th in yards.

If Downs injury lingers (hurt again last week in practice) I could see him making the initial roster. Certainly will be a practice squad lock.

Like I said, he’s been copy + paste for Downs which helps and hurts him. Hope he sticks, because he’s got a lot of talent in that slot role. Could be a nice weapon for DJ or Riley checking down a lot. Wish the Browns would pick him up, cause we really need a reliable chain mover at low cost.

I’m seeing Kurtis Rourke (injured right now) and Austen Pleasants both projected to make the 53 man roster for the 49er’s

Coleman Owen projected to make the practice squad mostly - one writer suggested the Colts MIGHT go with him over Gould

Roman Parodie projected to make the practice squad for the Bucs

Rourke didn't take a snap in preseason - zero chance he makes the 53 roster - 49ers will only keep 2 QBs and he won;t be emergency 3rd.

Still a perfect candidate for the practice squad - once he moves beyond IR status. And in doing so will make half of what his brother makes in Canada - as the highest paid player.

I certainly don't think he'll make the initial 53. He hasn't even been cleared to play yet. I guess we'll find out soon, but they drafted him knowing his injury status and have kept him this entire time.

I don't think they did that with plans just to release him. They've had a lot of glowing things to say about him this offseason. Why even have him in the building while hurt if you don't plan to stash him until he comes off the non-football injury list?

And he'll make $1.08M as a rookie. Nathan will make $809K in Canada in 26.

"We took him with the understanding he likely won’t be cleared, but we just felt like there was a lot of talent and ability." - GM John Lynch

"I think he would have gone a lot higher if he was healthy... Loved his size, loved how he throws, loved how he played the position. Watching them this year, I don't think it was a coincidence how good a year they had with the type of quarterback they had." - Shanahan

"Love his vision, love the way he plays the game, he plays quarterback at a high level," Ahmad said. "He throws on time, he throws with vision, he's got all the ability to make every single throw in the pocket. There's a lot to like about him." - Director of PP, Tariq Ahmad

They have already cut 2 other QB’s, but they could end up keeping him on the NFI list for a while/all season and he won’t count against their roster cap. We’ll likely know where he stands 4 weeks into the season.

Owen waived by the Colts, according to Colts Wire. Likely to be named to the practice squad. He's still listed on the official Colts roster, though.

Yeahhhhhhhh - ultimately, it's tough to be a 5'10" slot receiver on a team with an established 5'9" slot receiver, but that hammie injury could linger.

Hopefully he gets some action this season. Would love to see him light up the UFL next Spring on the new Columbus team.

Parodie one of the last six cut by the Bucs.

Tyus was cut by the Seahawks.

Pleasants is second-string RT for the 49ers.

K. Rourke is on the Niners' IR Non-Football Injury list.

Seems to be some rumblings that Coleman might not clear waivers to get back on the Colts practice squad.

https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/coleman-o... /

https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-do...

If the Indy Star reporter who got creepy with Caitlin Clark said it was a mistake to let him go it must be true.
