Not only did Ohio have the best, 16,000, no other game registered over 10,000. The only one that is even close is Toledo. I always wonder if MAC schools could arrange having those fans attending games to sit on the side of the stadium opposite the side where the networks place their cameras. Seems that the view we get on TV is usually showing the side with empty, or nearly empty, seats. Is this doable? Or do the MAC athletic departments even care what the viewers at home are seeing? I've had this same thought. Many times at these games there are more old farts at the game than students, yet the cameras all seem aimed at the student side. This is understandable because the cameras are on the press box side and the student side seems always to be opposite the press box side. Ohio vs them and UT vs BG etc should always be played in front of a weekend audience. Certainly this is workable. Just an idea. I think the MAC did not take election day into account this year, poor planning. Additionally, viewership will likely be down as well. I've even told Schauss at one of the meet-ups and he acted like I told him his zipper was down. Basketball is the worst. They pack the student section every game, the entire lower bowl is stuffed from end-to-end. Kids are rowdy. Band is going. Cameras are focused on the empty friends and family seats. You get an entirely different vibe, just by turning the camera.
