I usually start this on Game Day.

But my wife and I are going to the game, first thing tomorrow morning.

So, even though its a bit early:

Go Army Beat Navy

I usually pull for the u-dog in this one. Reason: I was Army, my older brothers were Navy and Dad was Marines.

Our biggest concern with the game was weather.

The last Army/Navy game Giants Stadium the weather was terrible.

Freezing cold and very windy.

My wife and brother got so cold, we had to leave after the third quarter.

Tomorrow is supposed to be mid to upper 60's with possible showers. :-)

Great thread, even greater game. One of those rare occasions for me that I can honestly say, I don’t see any losers, they are all winners.

A true classic-nothing surpasses the Rose Bowl for me, but this one comes awfully **** close!!!!

I'll be there, too. This is probably my 20th or so.

Beat Navy.

Was at the game Saturday.

Army and Navy brought all kinds of impressive "hardware".

They had several "dune buggy" like vehicles.

Couldn't believe they all had CUP HOLDERS.

What is our military coning too ? :-)

I sure do wish OHIO would schedule a home-and-home with each of these schools. And Air Force too. I've seen many other MAC schools play them over the years, but not us. I don't really know why not.

What great road trips it would be for Bobcat fans going to these away games.

Have tried many times. Now maybe with Frank no longer in charge of this, it may happen.

I recalled that the Bobcats had traveled to West Point and lost in the 90s so I investigated further. That game was played in 1996. Score was 37-20. I did find that it was our only game ever played against Army. While I was at it, I checked to see about any involvement we had with the Naval Academy and was surprised that we had indeed played them once too; winning 14-0 in 1932. We have not played Air Force.

I agree. I would love to see us play the academies. I’m sure it would be fantastic home or away.

I was at that Army-Ohio game. Army was 10-2 that year, only losses were to Donovan McNabb's Syracuse team and Auburn in a bowl game.

Interesting note: Army's OC ended up Ohio's OC a few years later.

Who has "tried many times"? The AD? Frank vetoed these efforts? Just asking for a few specifics. Why would Frank not want to play a service academy in place of, say, Louisiana? The chances of a Bobcat victory would not appreciably different, in general, I wouldn't think.
