With all the folks ready to jump off the Richland Ave bridge after a few losses, this is poetic justice! Nice win!

Congratulations to Tim Albin for passing "No Coach" (1894, 0-1) and Harold Monosmith (1902, 0-5-1) on Ohio's list of Victories by Coach. He's now tied with Pete McLaren (1898, 1-2-1) for 26th.

I didn't see the game but listened to most of it while watching the Ohio University Swim Club participate at Ohio State this afternoon. The first 2+ quarters of football were excruciating, even to listen to. Punt, punt, FG, punt, INT, punt. Finally a TD to tie the game but Akron scored on the first possession of the second half to regain the lead. We've given up a TD on the opponents' first possession of the second half in every game except Northwestern and Syracuse. Good to see the team finally righted itself vs an opponent that is arguably worse than we are at the moment. Makes it worthwhile to watch the whole game, maybe tomorrow night after we get back from dropping our son off at Wray.

Apologies to those whose parade I've rained on. It's good to finally have a win but it's tough getting excited about a team that's had not even one good half of football all season. Hoping there's more to cheer about after next week's game.

We will get by.
We will get by.
We will get by.
We will survive.

Hopefully we continue to improve, but Akron is not Duquesne.

I am kinda disappointed that Tim isn't going to beat Northwestern's record.

I'm convinced that I could survive that jump. Tuck and roll.
