I was an early morning scratch for Peden Palooza, and good thing. If I had driven three hours to A-Town only to learn that the coaching staff had decided to close most of the practice session and scrimmage, I would have been pissed. Feels like the athletics department could have done a better job coordinating events with the coaches or not raising expectations among prospective attendees.

I did manage to pick up some shorts and pants at the surplus sale.

Never made it onto the field and I probably would have stayed home if they had announced no regular scrimmage.

We did manage to find a different place to eat. The Company Store out by Athens HS and the bike path has a great collection of draft beers and some decent gumbo.

Has gumbo become a SEO menu staple because of Burrow?

I've seen crazier things happen.

For sure.
Wonder why it was changed to close most of the scrimmage?

It looked to me like maybe they were behind on things. And needed to get some things in. We live about a hour away. went to union street diner and got there about 845. They were just doing warm ups. then spent time doing drills which would be like pregame drills. then probably spent 45 minutes doing kick and punt team and return teams.

Looked to me like they worked on goal line situations for a while. after i got in gate at 1015 i think they scrimmaged about 15 plays before they called it a practice.
