This is due in large part to a lot more testing. But the state's infection rate is still around 1% and hospitalizations and deaths keep going down. We're being told an infection rate,of 1% or less ,not the number of positive test results is what is used to determine how the state is doing with covid. Everything so far appears to be driven at the conference/NCAA level rather than team level. I've seen crazier things happen. The statewide mask mandate may have come too late to save the September schedule.
