I could see Kurtis going in the portal. He has one year of eligibility left.

Hard to believe he doesn't want to be the #1 WR in the 100th ranked offense.

Will Jacoby Jones be back? If so, might explain his decision.

I'm guessing many of them see the writing on the wall with Rourke probably telling people officially that hes not returning, and combining that with such a bad year that everyone thinks was fantastic bc "just win"...

He won't be the last.

Jacoby is still trying to come back from his injury, so maybe he gets overlooked in the portal. He's also from Mississippi and Ole Miss's top 3 WR are SR's.

I wonder when Bangura will enter the portal. I'm trying to be positive but also realistic to the transfer portal era that we find ourselves in.

"Such a bad year." Sign me up for bad years if the results are 9-3 every season. Evidently you are not old enough to remember when 9 wins in five seasons was the norm in Athens. It is great that the Bobcats have fans that are very similar to the fans in Columbus. Maybe you and all your friends can start donating to the NIL just like they do in Columbus to keep and get some great players. Ryan Day is asking for $13 million minimum, but I'm guessing the people in Athens will settle for alot less than that. Pony up!

I’m not doing this again - but yes, players WILL do what they can to escape the ONE HUNDREDTH ranked offense in college football. Despite the 9 win season and whatever tear-filled stupidity you said after I stopped reading. One hundredth. 100. 100/133.

Again, the proof is in the pudding. Miles would be the #1 WR next season and he’s stoked to get out. Maybe you should message him whatever nonsense you’ve convinced yourself about this season.

Next year will be a completely different year but yes, with an unknown starting QB next year (Rourke will prob be gone) and an underwhelming offense this year, can you blame him for leaving?

The icing on the cake I'm sure was being snubbed from an All-MAC team but i'm sure he know long before that he was going to transfer. Best of luck to him.

Cam Wiley entered the portal last year. I guess technically he’s still in the portal, but not sure why one of the sites has him listed for this year. I’ve used Rivals database to track everything and have placed it in this thread at MACBBS. Unfortunately, Rivals interface is the oldest of all the services and not as user friendly.

I would be interested to see and be reminded of the Bobcats who left in the portal after the 2022 season. Then see a breakdown of how that affected the team in 2023 and how the transfers fared.

Guessing if Jacoby Jones returns healthy, he will be the lead receiver. Jacoby is Ohio's best receiver, but was injured early in the season. However, the offer still stands. Please contribute to the NIL, to get and retain some players so you won't continually berate Ohio's nine win seasons. I'm guessing that 19 wins in two seasons is not good enough for you? Yes, I said 19 wins in two seasons. With an opportunity to win 20 in two seasons. Has Ohio University ever won that many games in back to back seasons? And before you start with they play more games now compared to 50 years ago, that is correct. But all sports play way more games now compared to the "old days." Join the crowd in Columbus, because they always have room for one more!

Here’s 2023 MAC Recruiting

Doesn’t include the stats you may be looking for, but it would at least give you a starting point.

This reminds me of what happened after the three-game 2020 season. The offense looked very restrained (146 yds passing per game) with the Rourke/Rodgers shuttling and Hooks and Cox transferred after the year. I think that was a factor in the 2021 season.

I don't understand this logic. Because we were so bad in the past, we should be grateful to just get to 9 wins, even though the bar has been raised? I don't think we need to remind you the last time we won the conference was in '68. Since then we've been to 5(!) MACC games and lost all of them.

We all understand how bad the program was back then. That was then, the expectations are much higher now, as they should've been back in the day. The road to a title couldn't have been laid out any better for us this year and we fumbled the bag...again.

Also, I'd love to see a breakdown of where OSU's NIL $ comes from. I don't know a single person that has donated or showed any desire to donate and I have plenty of die-hards as friends/family. I would be willing to wager that a vast majority of the NIL dollars comes from businesses throughout the state, not average joes that yell at the tv on Saturdays.

After losing to Michigan, a number of the pundits in the paper and
on sports radio stations were saying Day should, and most likely would
go to Texas A&M.

Guess not.

Again, the proof is in the pudding. Miles would be the #1 WR next season and he’s stoked to get out. Maybe you should message him whatever nonsense you’ve convinced yourself about this season.

Albin won 9 games vs the 129th ranked (4th easiest) schedule in FBS and this goober wants everyone to pitch in for a statue, because Carroll Widdoes went 4-4 in 1949.

Ryan Day is asking for $13 million minimum, but I'm guessing the people in Athens will settle for alot less than that. Pony up!

After losing to Michigan, a number of the pundits in the paper and
on sports radio stations were saying Day should, and most likely would
go to Texas A&M.

Guess not.

Considering how much I loathe tOSU, I would love to see Day jump ship to a lesser program just to stick a middle finger to them. However, they would have plenty of interested suitors. On the other hand, if his legacy will be winning 10-11 games a year but folding when it matters most, I would be OK with them always being on the brink of success but not quite getting there.

Interesting that two of the offers have been to Ivy League guys, including one from the program that we draw our colors from.

OhioCatFan needs to confirm this for me!
