I believe the Macedonia referred to is the address and the school is Nordonia HS, a member of the Suburban League in NE Ohio.

You are correct and I think there are 4 not 3 from this team with Ohio offers....a tad bit unusual.

The four on that team with Ohio offers are Justice Alexander (DE), Denzel Ward (CB), Alex Alders (WR), and Cameron Ball (OT). A fifth player, Nyck Grayson (DE) has an offer from U.Mass, and there are two others listed on the Rivals site as prospects, Dylan Mabin (WR), and David Murray (QB). That's a lot of FBS level talent on one high school team.

Huh...he has some Mentor teammates on the Ohio roster who beg to differ.  Added DL from Akron who also has offers from almost all the MAC schools:

Been a brutal week for my wish list.  I figured some of that would happen since it always does.  On the other hand I was hoping that all the numbers from the summer camps would produce more offers.....so far that's not happening and OUr offer list of available players is shrinking fast.

Trying to stay positive...here's a nice vid of Hinton who can play either DB or RB:

Bittersweet day for recruiting.

I know the coaches are tweeting great day to be a cat....and getting a verbal from RB Williams makes it so....but losing DL Hamilton  as a decommit to Pitt really sucks....also lost a DE on my list to Mich.  St.......I'm gonna leave some DL wishes open until we get more offers.  We probably won't offer too many as DL is OUr strongest position.

Hey Doc, here's your fourth of July homework. Can you find me another DT for your list?

Cannot have enough disruptive defensive linemen and O-line studs.

Thanks for the updates, Mr. Dr.

Methinks we need help at d-line. They're not doing much this year and the list of recruits here adds few and not much size.

Wasn't there once Trae Jackson (was that his name?) who didn't qualify so went juco...he went about 330 lbs and was supposed to be serious talent. Is he still in the upcoming mix.

That would be Trae Clark. I haven't seen him on any recruiting lists. I know that in addition to Porter and Aloese on the scholarship list, there is a walkon DT, Tony Stephens, that was impressive in fall camp until he hurt his knee, and a preferred walkon, Chalmer Frueauf, who actually had offers from about 5 schools, but who waited too long to accept, so he ended up a preferred walkon. There are also some guys like Kuhar (6'5" 275) that could end up there.

Said this elsewhere, I will say it here too... This class is stacked on defense.

I'll go on record saying this is Frank's best recruiting class at OHIO ever.

I've seen crazier things happen.

Sorry to be me again, but where are your 300 lb destructive d-tackles.

The guys we're getting may be wonderful football players but there are certain key positions which are key, so must be filled. Not seeing fill at those positions.

Ohio's defensive scheme calls for one big, strong guy at NG, and a slightly smaller, quick guy for DT. Over the years, the NG has been:
Shane Yates 6-2, 293 2005, 2006
(Brett Sykes 6-2, 276) 2007 <---filled in as there wasn't one
AJ Oxley 6-4, 298; 2008
Marcellis Williamson 6-1, 362 2009-2010
Neal Huynh 6-3, 303 2010-2012 <---recruited at 6-3 230
Antwan Crutcher 6-1 300 2012-2014
Watson Tautuaiki 6-2 305 projected 2015

The matching DT has been:
Landon Cohen 6-3 278 2005-2007
Ernie Hodge 6-2, 290 2008-2010
Carl Jones 6-0, 265 2011-2012
Brandon Purdum 6-3 275 2013
Cam McLeod 6-5, 282 2014
Brandon Purdum 6-3 275 projected 2015

This recruiting class provided one player of each type. Arp is "only" 6-3 265, but given him a couple years in the weight room, and he'll probably end up 295, and very strong. I see him as another Shane Yates or Neal Huynh. He appears to be ideal for the NG position where the job is to hold position and plug up the middle.

McKnight is "only" 6-2, 260, but exceptionally quick for his size. He'll probably end up Landon Cohen-sized, about 275. He will be your destructive DT. I am very excited about him. I totally agree with Doc's post above; to me he's the gem of this class. I think he has the potential to follow Cohen to the NFL, but in the meantime, his combination of quickness and size will drive opposing lines crazy for the next few years.
