Here's his Hudl. Doc, better add this guy to your wish list. He's a playmaker, for sure. A comedian, too.

He is also receiving interest from JMU and Pitt.

Ringgold looking to compete for Championship.

He did get an offer from JMU as well. It sounds like his plan is to wait until after the season before making a decision:

"I'm not disappointed [with how recruiting has gone]. Hopefully after this season things will change and more offers will come. But right now, I'm not disappointed."

Personally I wonder if Ohio will have any spots left by then, but you never know.

He's having a good season, and attracting more attention:

Ended up committing to Gannon University on January 16th, but may yet get that offer he apparently was hoping for. Narduzzi of Pitt, and 3 assistants met with him today.

I find it troubling that we offered a scholarship to a guy that turned us down and chose Gannon!

Pitt may be looking around because Narduzzi was hired late.

Our talent evaluation process can be very hard to understand. Particularly at QB.

We do not know when Mr. Krizancic came into the picture.

Also, we already have one QB in the class, so that might have kept him away.

First, I don't think Ohio was recruiting him as a QB; I think he was being recruited as an athlete. Athletes in general are good to have, but hard to know how heavily they will be recruited because each coach that looks at them might picture them for a different position. I suspect Pitt/Narduzzi is looking at him as a Safety. Ohio has used high school QBs at a variety of positions, including WR (Dovell, Cope), Safety (kid from Beavercreek that ended up at OSU), Cornerback (J.Brown), and even tight end (Roback) and linebacker (Woseley).

As for him turning Ohio down, and accepting Gannon, I don't think that's quite what happened. I suspect his offer had a time limit, and he chose to wait to see if more "better" offers came in. His offer Ohio expired, and no others came in, so he accepted what he had left, Gannon.

That's why I highlighted this thread by bringing it back to to top of the forum, actually. We see one side of the recruiting game, often, the guy like DaVon Hamilton, that gives one verbal, then flips (and his case, flips, and flips...). This is the other side, the kid that gets an offer, but wants to wait, and in the game of recuiting/musical chairs, risks being left without a chair.

Edit - is visiting Pitt today

Question of the day: How will Pitt fans feel if Narduzzi steals a recruit from Division II Gannon?

Gannon gives a kid a small city experience on a Great Lake vs living in the lowest per capita income county of the 88 found in Ohio. Additionally, I'd go to Erie just for the wings; few if any in SE Ohio come close! Or maybe he wants a Catholic education.

Duckworth and the Minnesota transfer will have OHIO in good hands.

I lived in Erie for 2 years after graduation. I would not wish that on anyone! Didn't have a garage at any point in those 2 years. That turned out to not be a great idea. Still go back and forth for work every other week or so. I get in and out ASAP.

Greek dogs & burgers weren't bad though. Also, pretty much all the Italian places serve a "Nitemare" sandwich, which is obviously super good for you.

I hope Duckworth is the answer, but he hasn't ever played one down of college football. Last live action was his junior year of HS,
Krizacic played 1 year of QB at Mentor.

I don't share your comfort that the position is in good hands. I hope I am wrong.
