How many 6'0 TE's do you know of?  TE's are tall generally.  So, take the TE's away and I see no partic tall receivers.  Let me be more specific--tall wideouts.

Ohio has a couple of 6'3" wide receivers, which is plenty tall enough.  Josh Gordon's 6'3" and no one thinks he's too short.

I worry more about Ohio's short CB/Nickles than I do about tall receivers:
Jarid Brown 6'0"
Ian wells - 5'11"
Blake Scipio - 5'11"
Dyquan Stewart 5'10"
Mike Terpin 5'10"
Devin Bass - 5'9"
Nathan Carpenter - 5'9"
Shawn Harris - 5'8"
Plus: Jalen Fox 5'10" and Curtis Brunson 5'11"

Vick and Sprague are both listed at 6'2" and Leffingwell at 6'2". Windham, if he returns, was also listed at 6'1".  Duckworth is supposed to be 6'3".

I have to agree with L.C. Our secondary is small. I think some of the listed heights may be exaggerated. If you really want to argue about having a small secondary just look at who the opposition targets. In my mind it is fairly consistent who the opposition targets  when they attack our defense.
A 6"3" wideout versus a 5'9" CB or nickelback is a great advantage for an offense.
The other attribute is speed and I think all of our corners are fast, and good athletes.

Yes, they are fast, quick, and can jump. The only problem is that the guy that jumps is at the apex only for a short time, while the tall receiver is up there all the time.

Monroe, I don't believe Morgan or Brown are being recruited for their blocking. I invite you to view their videos. Both move very well and have athleticism not usually seen at 6-6.

Are they going to play TE?

TE's are generally tall.  Nobody plays a 6'2" TE.

Ohio's tallest wide receivers in recent years:
Dayne Hammond 6'6"
Robert Mercer 6'5"
Cody Karr 6'5"
Serggio Judkins 6'4"
Adedipe Adetunji 6'4"
Terrence McCrae 6'4"
Justin Fitzgerald 6'3"
Jahan Olyaie 6'3"
Paul Hershey 6'3"
Jordan Reid 6'3"
Sebastian Smith 6'3"
Malik Rodriquez 6'3"

You might or might not agree with my list of some of Ohio's best WRs in recent years, but you probably wouldn't include most of the players above on such a list (players in bold played professional football, and I think Foster will):
Terrence McCrae 6'4"
Chase Cochran 6'2"
Matt Donahue 6'2"
Steven Goulet 6'2"
Riley Dunlop 6'2"
Scott Mayle 6'1"
Taylor Price 6'1"
Donte Foster 6'1"
Chido Nwokocha 6'0"
Gary Fortune 6'0"
Tyler Futrell 6'0"
Matt Waters 6'0"
Mario Dovell 6'0"
Landon Smith 6'0"
Lavon Brazill 5'11"
Ryan Clark 5'9"
Chris Garrett 5'8"

Interestingly I'd say that Ohio has more good, tall receivers now than they have had. Reid, S. Smith and Rodriguez may make the list of Ohio's best receivers in due time.

Yes, I expect them at TE, yet, they were both downfield receivers on film.

We miss T-Mac in the red zone/on the goal line. Brazill's athleticism masked it for a couple years, but these last 2 seasons we have not been as good at nailing the fade route (maybe some of that is QB play, but I don't think so).

6'2"? How about 6'3"? Here's a list of some of Ohio's recent TEs:
Jordon Thompson 6'3"
Zach Clark 6'3"
Corey Logan 6'3"
Tom Christy 6'3"
Andrew Mooney 6'3"
Jahan Olyaie 6'3"
Derek Roback 6'3"
Art Jordan 6'3"
Andrew Pepin 6'3"
Davon Henry 6'3"
Adam Olsheski 6'2"
John Tanner 6'2"

Only in the last couple years has Ohio been starting to load up on the tall TEs:
Troy Hill 6'5"
Tyler Knight 6'5"
John Tanner 6'4"
Anthony Talbert 6'4"
Troy Mangen 6'5"
Mason Morgan 6'6"
Connor Brown 6'7"
Kyle Kuhar 6'5"
Brennen Boland 6'5"

Well, if they wanted to, next year they could go with Sebastian Smith, Malik Rodriguez, and Jordan Reid at WR, plus Mangen and Morgan at TE, and line up 6'3", 6'3", 6'3", 6'5", and 6'6". (Does any team have 5 DB's tall enough to cover those guys??) Ohio has more height now than it's had in recent years, by far, so height itself isn't something I worry about in the receiving corps. As I said, at DB, yes, there I worry about it.

Going off memory, it seems to me most DBs are relatively short, or at least shorter than their WR counterparts. This seems to be true at all levels--college and NFL. I have wondered if that's because of speed. Does a tall guy lose a step on a shorter guy? Maybe it's easier to turn in a 4.5 40 when your 5'11" vs 6'3".

Or, maybe it's the ability to change direction quickly. The bigger, taller WR is fine because he knows where he is going, but the DB has to react, and may have to change direction abruptly. The physics would favor a lower-mass DB closer to the ground, I would think. Also, I would say that corners tend to be shorter than Safeties and that's consistent with my hypothesis.

Still, Ohio's corners have always seemed even shorter than most. The 5'10" to 5"11" ones aren't my concern, it's the 5'6-5'9" DBs. Yet, as I think of this, I think of some All-Pro DBs no bigger than Solich, so I guess it all works out.

That's pretty normal. Outside of Alabama I doubt any college programs have many guys in their secondary over 6'0. Even top NFL corners are short.

Joe Haden - 5'11
Leon Hall - 5'11
Darrelle Revis - 5'11
Alterraun Verner - 5'10
Brandon Flowers - 5'9
Brent Grines - 5'10

lol, I understand what you're saying, but I also think in the NFL a lot of the teams build their rosters to win their divisions. in the NFC West, Seattle needed bigger defensive backs to match up with Arizona (going back to when Warner was there and they were good). But a lot of the times DBs that are tall and longer legged have trouble getting out of back pedal, flipping the hips, etc. so the shorter guys are much more capable of that.

After watching sports for many years I come to a conclusion with wide receivers.  The great ones have a brain that processes exactly where the ball will be after the receiver first sees it coming his way and adjusts his gate and course and optimizes the best spot to catch the ball.  IMO what made Terry Bradshaw the Super Bowl winning QB, was that regardless of where he threw the ball, Swann and Stallworth adjusted to where the ball would be and the DB never really seeing the ball had no clue how to break it up. Buckeyes receiver drafted by the Browns, Robiske was clueless. During the NC game the qb put two passes down the field that were broken up by the db.  Had Robiske adjusted his route, ala Lynn Swann, they would have been likely catches.  Goal of receiver is to catch the ball, not to make a TD so if the best place to catch a pass without the DB breaking it up is to stop five yards up the field and jump up 11ft and grab it then that is what the great ones do and instinctively know it.

Its similar in other sports.  Take Joe DiMaggio, legend had it that he wasn't the fastest centerfielder but when the batter swung, 99.9% of the time he knew exactly where the ball was going to be coming off the bat and he ran the direction giving him the best shot at timing his catch.

Great rebounders know when the shot goes up the likely angle of the bounce and try and get to that spot and over the course of a season snag more than others.

Too many times you see a poorly thrown pass that gets picked when the wideout could have played db and broken up the play but for some reason their brain is not processing where the ball is headed soon enough.

Punt coverage teams bug the sheet out of me.  The outside guys burn down the field and seldom gaze back over their shoulder to pick up  where the ball is headed and instead go to the guy signaling the fair catch while the ball hits ten yards away and could have easily been downed had the guy known where the ball was headed.  Its like a centerfielder never making the catch of one over his head

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE

FL State won the national championship because some 6'6" dude went up and caught the winning TD and some other key throws.

We need some really tall receivers.  Deal with it.

Mizzou also has Green-Beckham @ 6'6". He and the FSU receiver definitely are playmakers. I saw another of this type at the high school level, Kony Ealy, he grew into a DE also at Mizzou. I searched Rivals for 6'5" and taller WRs. There were 24. Nine remain uncommitted. Something tells me coach Dixon has the list. 24 really tall receivers, Ohio might not get one. We might have to deal with that.
