Job Description

Responsible for directing, organizing and administering all aspects of on-campus events surrounding official and unofficial recruiting visits, such as mailings, e-mail and social media.

This position coordinates all football coaches’ video and technology needs, and has direct supervision of the recruiting intern, the student support staff, and the student video staff.

Responsible for managing the football roster, its needs, and assists in the organization of institutional summer football camps.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

Must have administrative ability to manage the day-to-day operations.

Candidate must display the highest of ethical standards, recruit qualified student-athletes, and display a commitment to their academic success. Working knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and procedures is required.

Candidates must have outstanding leadership, management, and interpersonal skills to relate to a wide diversity of faculty, staff, students and community members.

Preferred Qualifications

A minimum of two years of collegiate football operations or coaching experience with a Division I-FBS program preferred.

I read something a few weeks back about the poverty level's in Athens not being what they seem. Apparently if you remove the student population they're right at the average with the state as a whole.

I wouldn't doubt it with all the university employees around. I was just kind of stirring the pot because folks say we can't charge more for tickets because of the income levels being so low. I'm really not kidding about the student loan thing.

Leave Athens proper and you'll find it real quick.

I grew up in SE Ohio so I know all about poverty around Athens.
