This has got to be the longest wait  ever for finding out a verbals name.

Mooney said a couple of weeks ago we had 6....I count five.

As that Aussie rock group Men At Work once said.....who can it be now?

...

Some early recruits in the early Solich years they kept secret for the entire season, and we never did learn who they were until signing day. Names like Curt Meyers, Jeff King, and Vince Carlotta come to mind. We really don't "need to know", but its nice. I think it also helps later recruiting that others can look and say "Wow, that's a great group. With those guys, we can win some games."

L.C., your knowledge of all things Bobcat football is truly encyclopaedic!  Impressive, my friend...now we want you to attend a game in Athens this year before we start to think you're a composite character!!!  Just messin' wit ya.  We really do appreciate how you help us understand what's going on.

The big difference was that in the dark ages we didn't even know we had those verbals. If we know now we have a verbal it shouldn't be that hard to get a name .

And the big similarity is that apparently the player in question doesn't feel like making it public yet. I'd say we'll find out when he decides the time is right.

He must have told Mooney to leep it hush hush hoosh hoosh.

Maybe he's a 5 star recruit that doesn't want to be bothered.

That's the story I'm going to stick to until we hear otherwise.

I've heard he's the great grandson of Red Grange and a ringer who will play under a nom de plume yet to be decided on...
