Originally committed to Temple.  Also had offers from Marshall and Toledo.

I am wondering if us offering him as a QB is how we got him... Listed as a WR/DB elsewhere.

He looks good running the ball, too. Here are Junior highlights.

I don't know if he's the QB, the CB, or another RB/WR, but he's definitely an athlete.

Ohhhhh he's playing corner back in some of those highlights! Thank goodness, I was really confused why senior highlights for a QB contained so many interceptions. My bad.

This is the kind of surprise this class needed - a CB/QB.

Ah, OK. Now I find him in 2012. He had an Ohio offer last year, too.

Anybody have any links to these guys from any of the recruiting services?  I'm not finding anything on Brown or Stewart.  I'm shocked if they actually keep him at QB though based on his size.  Looks like a good athlete so maybe they will convert him to CB later.  Definitely not close to the same class as Walsh was in term of QB's if that is where they keep him.  There sure are lots of under the radar guys this year, so I guess we'll find out in a few years how good our staff really is at evaluating.

Look in 2012 for both Stewart and Brown. They both were non-qualifiers that were Temple recruits last year, and who spent a year at Fork Union.

Phew, I do feel a little better after looking at the profiles from 2012.  I though we had just picked up two unranked guys with no listings on any major service.  I'm guessing that they will transfer their player rankings from last year to this year, which will hopefully improve our overall team ranking.  Right now everybody basically has us between 110-115 in the country.

Yeah, I'm not sure about Brown at QB. He was listed on the Fork Union roster as WR/DB. Con't find any stats so don't know if he played QB for them.

Easy there my man Doc.  You can question my opinions all you want, but no need to call me an idiot.  And I do follow MAC football closely and I care about the Ohio program succeeding, whether you want to believe it or not.

I'm sure he was calling the recruiting services idiots, not you. I would agree that it's hard to take some of them seriously, especially when you look rankings over the last 6 years, and find NIU consistently near the bottom, and Akron consistently near the top.

Ohio now lists him as a cornerback in its recruit list, which I guess was expected.

I got the CB I wanted, so this class looks good to me, even if it is a bit heavy in Big Manz such as Tight Ends and Disruptive Defensive Tackles.
