I have said for years I hadn't seen it happen, but that when it did, I would make sure to point it out. Well, my records show that yesterday Mike Roberts had 3 stars from Scout.com, but today he only has 2. He did preserve his rank as the #85 TE. Of the three services, I am least likely to believe the ratings from Scout.com anyway, and this does nothing to change my opinion.

If my records are wrong, someone let me know....

Those rankings are so whack.

How is it that dudes from Toledo have 3 stars and only one or two (MAC or lower) offers and Chris Murray has only 3 stars. Or that Roberts has only 2 stars? Or that Trae Clark has only 3 stars even though he has offers from Michigan State and Arkansas?

None of this makes any sense to me. I've just decided not to worry about it any more. We all know that this is the best class we've had, probably ever, and thats all that matters. And given that we've been kicking the MAC's A$$ prior to this...I feel pretty good.

I would look at more the offers than the stars as to where a recruit fits in nationally. Scout has Mose Denton as part of our 2012 recruiting class so are we going to hear about this surprise during the press conference?

I dropped from one star to no stars when I announced I was attending Ohio to play intramurial football and softball.

I had Roberts listed as two stars on Scout as of yesterday afternoon, but maybe it was three sometime before that. I'm with you on Scout. It's hard to take them seriously when they have mistakes like listing a guy whose already played a season with the Bobcats on their list of this year's recruits.

OK, thanks. Maybe it was an error on my part, and he was never 3 stars with Scout. He is 3 stars with Rivals, so it may be that I made an error and put the 3 in the wrong column. I'd rather think that I made a mistake than that Scout would do that. In any case, I watched his film, and he looks like a player.

Correct, from what I remember Roberts was always a 2 star on Scout and 3 on Rivals.  I will say that based on this year Scout appears to be lacking compared to the other recruiting sites (although none have great coverage of our recruits).  They have been way behind in updating our signings until today, and they still have Mose Denton listed in this years class for some reason. Not sure how many of our guys Scout actually watched tape on, but my guess is less than half.

Thanks, Buddy. Definitely my error, then.
