Too much time on my hands. Googled Brandon's track results and found the expected shot & discus distances, but, also found a 13.6 split from his participation on the team's 4 X 100 relay. Not a great split you would expect from a true sprinter, but, the kid is 250lbs and was in a special "Throwers" Relay I wonder if any of the other recruits over 250lbs have a 4 X 100 split time?

The 4X100 relays you are refering to, it is really just a fun race the THROWERS run for fun.  It is called the "throwers race"   Brandon and his fellow throwers (each runner over 200 lbs)  run this race just for fun, they are not expected to get a fast time.  They do it for the prize at the end, which is usually free FOOD ;-) - Pizzas or t-shirts Just a good time!!!!

GoOU, you are well versed in track. I noticed there were the two relay teams and only seven names listed. One of their throwers, Nick Wrightsel, did run both relays, the 100, 200 and threw the shot. Last year Wrightsel, as a so., ran an 11.0 100 and threw the shot 46' 9". Seems like a nice double to me. A little more research and I found he played LB/RB for JAHS as a jr. and has a nice highlight video. See the link. Do you think he might be a player?

I wonder if Brandon and Nick are close friends, enough for Brandon to share his Bobcat experiences and help recruit him to Athens next year?
