Ohio has offered a scholarship to DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD) High School tight end Sam Collura. The 6-3, 250-pounder had given a verbal to Pitt last February but opened up his recruiting following the coaching changes there. He visited Ohio last weekend and Rivals.com reports it went great. However, he did promise the new Pitt coaching staff that he would visit there on 1/28.

Pitt may also not want some of those verbals.

That is true. But they've asked him to come visit on 1/28, so I think there's interest still there.

It's just neat to have players like this deciding between us and a BCS school.

In the past we couldn't get a consideration or a visit.

Now it's players pickin us over them or at least having us in the top 2.

Scout.com reports Collura will stick with his Pitt commit.
