I think February 2 is the start of the late signing day and it seems we have 5-6 preferred walk ons and maybe 1 or 2 full ride commits. We may lead the nation in announced preferred walk ons at least. Elsewhere someone estimated perhaps 35 have left the program one way or another. So how many more signees are you expecting?

No kidding.

I’m sorry, it was actually 39 stated by 71Bobcat on the transfers topic under Football on this site on December 31.
I have no firm idea how many have left, but it’s probably north of 25 since we had super seniors and there’s only 60 on Ted’s roster here which I think includes at least 1 player who is listed who is apparently in the portal.

We have ten signees.

There are 4 confirmed walk ons maybe more.

Tryouts were held a few weeks ago and that may add one or two.

We have one confirmed transfer with I’m sure more to come.

Wednesday is another early signing period.

My math is fuzzy but adding close to ten athletes at this point is not enough for me to jump off the Richland Avenue Bridge.

I’m not sure anyone is jumping off any bridges, but if you’re satisfied with our commitments right now, I think you’re missing something.

Never said that.

I was speaking of numbers.

Quantity not quality.

And you have no idea about quality, the rankings/ratings for our group is certainly down so far, so what are you basing your quality ratings on (without ever seeing them play 1 D-1 game.

What are my quality ratings?

Who knows about how most will turn out.

The RB signing had offers from major power schools. The kicker owns a high school kicking record and his coaches predict he will play on Sundays.

You can’t predict total class failure just because you think next years team will be the worst team in college football history.

This is great stuff I just wish I thought the news was better. I’m just amazed at the feel that the portal has had on recruiting. I’m also fascinated with the amount of PWO’s. What is the scholarship situation to necessitate so many of these? Maybe it’s no more than usual but I certainly feel like it.
It seems that the staff is hitting 2023 really hard or are at least seem much more visible. I’m hopeful that the two new defensive hires will be assets in recruiting.
Regardless thanks for all the info.

Just another example of saying something that has no basis in fact. You’ve just making stuff up to put down other people. Bordering on jerky

Believe what you want to believe.

Must be sad that you can’t say anything positive about OUr student athletes.

And that is not making anything up.

Yeah sure.

Made a mistake.

Check the 2022 roster.

Your 35 fears will be quelled.

No one expected the quality big guys we thought were through.

For example;

Hagen Meservy…..missed a bunch last year….not sure why….but he’s an All-Mac quality OL.

Alvin Floyd and Tariq Drake……OUr 2 best safeties last year.

Julian Ross….playmaker when healthy at WR or RB.

Brady Rodgers and Gary Hoover…linemen who have started in their careers.

James Bostic…..WR from Vanderbilt….HS all star.

Maybe the 2 coaches we got knew this.

Well, I for one am surprised at the number of super seniors returning. Feeling a bit better with the amount of experience coming back this year.
